Hurricane Sandy Changes Art Insurance Forever

In October, 2012 hurricane Sandy slammed into lower Manhattan and wreaked havoc on NYC’s art district. Losses for art alone accounted for upwards of $300 million dollars. This sort of payout hit the insurers hard and has changed the way they price premiums for the future.
